as far as gear , you will need a good pack with a camelback built in it for water ,the best boots you can find , I had a rangefinder but I was bowhunting , most states require blaze orange , you will need clothing that will work for any climate ,we hunted at 8 to 10 thousend ft. some days it was hot some days it snowed . hope this helps

you should be in the best shape possible , we didn't have horses ,we put on 110 miles on foot in ten days , the hardest hunt i've ever been on
