Merry CHRISTmas!!!!!

I was confirmed into the Catholic faith 2 weeks ago, and I’ve seen Christ’s amazing love work in so many people and in so many ways. It made me think of this poem that I wrote last year in English class, a poem I could write because I’m part of such an awesome Catholic school. I hope this poem can help you reflect also, on all the blessings in your life…because good or bad, calm or storm, He never lets go of you, and He loves you so much!!!

So here it is...hope you all like it!!!

He loves me with all of His heart,
since before I was born.
He knows exactly how many hairs on my head,
and He knew my personality before I did.
He’s the ultimate prince

He forgets all my sins,
and is still passionately in love with me,
no matter what I do.
How can He love even a wretched soul like me?
He’s the ultimate prince.

He is patient with me,
when I just don’t understand.
He doesn’t poke fun at me,
when I make foolish mistakes.
He’s the ultimate prince.

He doesn’t care what I look like,
tall, short, fat, or thin.
He loves me just the way I am,
poor, helpless me.
He’s the ultimate prince.

Just another one of His lost sheep,
He always leads me home.
Though I don’t always listen,
He’s always there waiting, arms wide open
He’s the ultimate prince.

He casts all evil out of my soul,
and renews my spirit when I am weak.
He fills my cup until it is overflowing.
How could I ever want anything more?
He’s the ultimate prince.

Jesus Christ has many names.
He’s the Prince of Peace,
and the Lord of Lords.
He’s the alpha and omega,
and you know what I call Him...

Keep on loving

Ok, so I just got back from a friends house, and wow was that an amazing night. If you have any friends that you are trying to bring to Christ, or bring back to Christ, and you're being discouraged right now...keep on reading! So I have this friend that freshmen year, we had all of our classes together, and we were really close. Then over the last couple of years, she started going to a bunch of parties with people that I knew were bad news, so I never went. We started becoming more and more distant. She's always been a really good girl, she has a really good, strong, Christian family...but she was kind of straying from that life style because she wanted everybody to like her. The more she did that, the farther we got from each other. We're both in campus ministry at school, and we both help out in leading the retreats for all the underclassmen. I've been trying to completely live that life, but my friend would always live it while we were there, but be totally different when we got back to school the next day. But regardless, she's still my friend and I love her to death. I didn't really know what to do, or tell her that what she's doing isn't her...so I just prayed for her a lot. This summer, she changed, and i really had no idea what happened to her, but she's been so much happier, and she stopped partying, and she cut herself off from the people that only liked her when she went to parties and she would drive them home. Last night I found out what happened...she fell madly in love with Christ!!! She kept apologizing to me for not being the friend that I was to her and she just thanked me for always loving her. She told me that through my deep love for her, and for everybody else, she found love in Jesus, and that taught her how to love everyone around her. Another soul has been found again because of love. When you get discouraged and you feel that there is nothing you can do anymore...just keep loving!!!! "Actions speak louder than words" how many times have you heard that? How many times have you actually thought about what that means? Jesus tells us that figs dont grow on thorn bushes...good doesnt come from an evil spirit and evil doesnt come from a good spirit. You can speak of love all you want, but the only thing that's going to get people to stop and think, and want what you have is your actions. You have to love everybody...it can completely change somebody's life, and you dont even know it. So please, never give up when you get discouraged...just keep on loving, you never know how many hearts you're going to change because of it!

Wow, another school year come and gone already. At my school, the seniors just had their last day! and we'll be finishing up before you know it. A time to relax an chill with all your friends without the pressures of school all around. The one thing that I ask of everybody today is this...stay safe!!! There are so many things that you can do while staying out of trouble too. Pray for all your friends though, that they would stay out of trouble too! Especially for all those seniors out there. They're done with school, and all the pressure's off. They might have the most incentive to try to just "have fun" if you know what I mean. Let's just all pray for them, and all the people that think the only way to have fun is to be "getting into trouble". And always remember that you can have fun in the sun, and stay in the image and likeness of God at the same time! God should always be at the center of all of your fun!!! Have fun!!!

Prayer Request

Ok, so yesterday morning my parapalegic uncle was found in his home...brain dead and heart stopped. they rushed him to the hospital, but it was too late. i dont know the condition of his soul at the time of his death, but my family is pretty sure that he was not a Christian. the saddest part of the day was when my grandpa went to go see the house, and see his dog, Bronco, who probably stayed with my uncle all night while he died, brought my grandfather my uncle's box of cigarrettes, and started whimpering. Bronco loved my uncle very much, and wouldn't stop crying the rest of the night. Please pray for my family, and we just pray that my uncle's soul was right with God when he passed, and that I will see him one day in heaven...

Love, support, and prayer...

Ok, so I had adoration again yesterday...but this time, it was a very humbling experience. How many of you complain about pretty much everything in your life when it doesn't go just exactly the way you've planned? I know I do that, all the time...I'll do something stupid, get grounded for it, then, instead of taking the blame for the wrong that I've done, I'll complain about it and blame it all on my parents. Sound familiar to anyone? While I was in adoration, I was thinking of a friend of mine. Right npw he's scared of his dad because about a month ago, he got drunk and hit him...now he's scared that it might happen again if he does anything wrong. He's living in a life of fear. I was sitting with him during adoration, and they began playing a song that went something like this, "Thank you for loving me, Jesus" and repeated over and over again. I started crying because I realized how amazingly blessed I really am. I have parents that love me so much that they are willing to punish me when I do something wrong. They never hit me, and I'm never scared of them. And most of all, they tell me every chance they get, how much they love me, and I always know that they want me around. I looked at my friend and realized how petty my problems are, and there are so many people out there with much worse problems than I, and probably thin kthat I have the perfect life. Well they're right...I do have the perfect life. I have family and friends that love me so much and I know that they're always there for me. How can I ever complain? I just wanted you guys to think about that too...maybe some of you reading this have big problems, and need some love, support, and prayer...I'll always be praying for you guys...and maybe some of you are like me, have a great life, but just want to complain about something. I just ask that you look around, and see that your problems, too, are petty, and there are others out there that are really in need of your love, support, and prayer.
Thought for the week: pray for others instead of for your own problems...we might all just be better off...

ASH WEDNESDAY!!!!!

Ok, so i pretty much just wanna ask everybody to take lent very seriously this year. Its my favorite liturgical season, and it always brings me closer to God. Its all about an encounter with Christ! Instead of giving up chocolate like you do every year...how about you make a commitment to spend more time in your prayer life? or to stop gossipping and be extra nice to those people you normally gossip about? I think you'll benifit much more from that than from not drinking coffee for 6 weeks...this is a whole season to call forward your sins and let God throw them to the bottom of the ocean! Let Him take over your life...i guarantee you'll get a lot more out of Easter as well if you have this personal encounter with Christ this lenten season. Good luck! and may God bless you all!!!

ADORATION

Posted: 01/18/2008 at 07:55AM |

Wow, I just had adoration at my school today, and let me tell you...it was AMAZING!!! it was open to everybody all day long, but i signed up to go to the chapel during seventh period, because then we had music. I love adoration with music, its so awesome! the chapel was completely full during seventh period, and when i went in i had to squeeze in and find a place to kneel! Everybody was singing, and there were friends of mine in there that had been recently converted to the faith, and they were all crying. It was such an amazing experience. You could really feel God in that place. I feel so amazingly blessed to be able to go to a Catholic school like i do. Everybody can be so open about their faith, and we have nothing to be afraid of. Our school offers adoration once a month, and everybody definetly takes advantage of it. It was so amazing today, and everyday that we have adoration, to see so many people praising the Lord and just growing into this deep, passionate relationship with our Savior. God Bless!!!
