Hey guys! i love volleyball and track. and guess what: I'm a JESUS FREAK!!!!!!!!! I'm half Spanish, a quarter norwegian, and a quarter japanese! i have the most amazing friends ever, and i thank God everyday for having them in my life!!! I go to a Catholic high school, and omg, its such i blessing. i love everything about it. i especially love the fact that we're able to have mass and adoration at school! its really cool. the teachers all have such a passion for the faith, and they're always there to talk to about anything and everything...i bet you don't get that too often at a public school. SENIOR RETREAT!!!!
What do you thin kof when you think of a senior retreat? A class coming together to have the best time of their lives before they graduate. Wow, my senior retreat was that plus soooo much more!!! So many people experienced Jesus in a way never before, including a muslim girl! and everybody is so happy right now...its just amazing!!! Not only did we experience Jesus and we're all happy, but we came together as a class, like i never thought we coud. One thing that we did was write letters to each other. that was such an amazing experience. People you didnt really get to know throughout high school would write amazing things about you...and just about everyboddy cried...cried over relationships that could have been and can be now because we know how we truly feel. I always thought i got on people's nerves, telling them to watch their language all the time, telling them when they should change their behavior, this or that is inappropriate...it was amazing how many people wrote me letters telling me how much they appreciated me keeping them in line when even they knew they were getting out of line. a really special guy in my life even told me that i was an amazing person because i make people around me better because they strive to be better like me...that'll make me think twice next time i think about doing something wrong! We have one tradition at my school that i think is our best. we hand out crucifixes at the very end of the retreat..each person picks somebody to give it to, and then says how they see christ working in and through them...talk about a cry-fest! people called up their best friends, and their worst enemies, and said the most amazing things about them...some of the teachers were involved too, and we got to thank them for showing us how amazing christ's love really is. we ran out of time in the middle, and had to finish thanking each other and telling each other on a more personal level, people that we wanted to pick, but could only pick one...that was the most amazing part of the retreat. we were all hugging and crying, and then they decided to play "lean on me" and everybody started bawling...realizing that this really was the last time we were all going to be together like that before we graduate...most all of us going to different colleges. It was such a great experience, but so sad all at the same time...it made me realize how you cant wait to tell somebody how you really feel about them...keeping those feelins suppressed is not only unhealthy, but what if you never get to tell them? everybody in my class is so happy now because we got those feelings out, and are building even better relationships because of it...i will never ever forget this retreat...

music_lover 14 days agoThat sounds like fun. I dont have big plans either, I do have a family reunion next weekend and my anut is going to have a baby in August. But that is just about it. I jsut trying to relax before I start my second semester of college. |

music_lover 15 days agoNot really because the online classes are harder than the ones at the college. I know this because people have told me and my bbf Kacy told me because she does both and her online classes are harder than the ones at the college. |
music_lover 16 days agoCool, the school I am going to has the best ECE programs in the area and the best part is I am doing most of my classes online which is a huge money saver. |
music_lover 16 days agoThat is cool, last semester there were 2 guys in my class. They were a man and his son-in-law. I love kids too so I had to decide if I wanted older or younger children, but I work with the older children at church so I picked the younger children for my career. |
