debbee77 2 months agoA great book for witnessing to anyone including atheists is called Questioning Evangelism....Randy Newman. It's about how to engage in conversation using questions like Jesus did. That book changed the way I share in that you ask questions to see where they are ooming from so that the Lord can lead in how to answer. I used to be so quick to respond that I missed learning where the person I was talking with had stumbling blocks. By asking questions of what they were saying not only helped me become a better listener it showed the person I was really interested in them. Quick read. Great tool! |
dcarrington 2 months agoNot an atheist, but my boss is a Jehovah's Witness....so I in some ways it's almost the same thing. |
jsb 2 months agoIs anyone actively engaging in conversations with any atheists at the moment? Let me know, I'd like to hear your strategies and learn! |
jsb 2 months agoThat's a great point dcarrington. It is also interesting how atheism is pretty much a religion in itself. |
dcarrington 2 months agoTo claim God (or anything else for that matter) does not exist assumes that you are aware of everything that DOES exist. Therefore, atheists must have a very high opinion of their own knowledge. |

bobkastl 5 months agoThe credit is mine in terms of telling JSB the Japanese Plant story, but the origin is certinly not...it's far too deep...

jsb 5 months agoI thought this was very relevant to our efforts towards atheists.
