I've heard of alot of people who say that they're Christians and are also Homosexual or Bisexual. They think that it's okay. I don't agree. God makes it very clear that Homosexuality is a sin and is disgusting. Yet some continue thinking that there's nothing wrong with it. Who do you agree with?

Exactly, but some people don't agree. They think 'Oh, God only condemned homosexuality half a dozen times. It's not that bad.'

but if God condemns it once its bad. He shouldnt have 2 do it a million times 4 us 2 get it.

In his epistles, the Apostle Paul condemns ALL "porneo." Paul is pretty clear that he is celebate, but anyone who can't stand staying celebate should marry so that they don't sin. It seems clear, in Paul's mind anyway, that sex in marriage is holy, and ALL sex outside marriage is sin.

So, I think practicing homosexuality, masturbation, pre-marital sex, affairs, and rape are ALL sins and disgusting. Yet, there are people who call themselves Christians who continue thinking there is nothing wrong with homosexulaity, sex before marriage or masturbation.

How wonderful we have a savior! We have to let everyone know that whatever they have done, it is not too late to repent and start over. They will be forgiven and wiped clean.

Sex is God's gift for marriage. Read the Song of Solomon to understand just how beautifully it is to be enjoyed, only by a husband and wife!

Wow. Chaplainnik summed it up pretty well. I whole-heartedly concur. Do you do this for a living?

I agree with everyone above, that homosexuality is a sin. It's just stupefying to me that people can claim to be Christians and go on practicing these kinds of things, even when the Bible goes against it. O.O

I think that homosexuality is a sin and wrong. But I have to say, love the sinner and hate the sin. All we can do is pray for them, witness to them, and show them that we are not the ones to judge them; only God can do that. Sometimes I think that homosexuals are born without the ability to love or desire someone of the opposite sex. I know what you're thinking, but hear me out... if it is like that, I think it's because God wanted them to be single and absitnent. They are not supposed to act upon those feelings because they are a sin. I kind of went on a tangent and my train of thought has now derailed....sorry! haha Maybe i'll pick it up when it comes back to me.

yah, pretty much!! it's in the Bible a lot!! just look it up!! and if you talk about it to people like that, they will be like, OH, well MY GOD wouldn't condemn me for doing what i think is right, and what everyone else has told me is okay!! and im like, WUT GOD ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?? CERTAINLY NOT THE GOD OF THE BIBLE, the one who died on the cross for our sins, and blots them out and sends them as far as the east is from the west!! ugh, i just think it's DISGUSTING!!

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 - the Greek word translated as homosexual is Malakos

Definitions: (adjective, description of. . .) soft, effeminate
of a boy kept for homosexual relations with a man
of a male who submits his body to unnatural lewdness
of a male prostitute

I'm gonna agree with Saramaker. The sin is the action, not the person. They need to be IN a church where we can help nourish them in their chastity.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 NKJV lists a lot of folks who won't inherit the kingdom of heaven: "fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners". I'm a big social-justice minister, so I'm more disgusted with the rampant idolatry of money (and coveting what our neighbors have) that is allowed in our pews rather than the few homosexuals who are aren't.

Homosexuality is wrong and sum ppl hav double standards. Like a guy saying that men in love with each other is sik, but women who love each other is okay. It's wrong either way ppl are just going to hav to relize this.

Saramaker, excellent point. "Love the sinner and hate the sin." I think this is closer to what Jesus would have taught.

Many people continue to debate whether homosexuality is a result of "nature" or "nurture." By studying God's Word, I'm not sure it really matters HOW it happens.

The Bible does not teach that it is sinful to be attracted to the same gender. However, Chaplainnik hits the nail on the head. Any sex outside the bonds of marriage is a sin. So, a homosexual disposition may not be sinful, but homesexual BEHAVIOR is.

One can be a committed, God-fearing, sanctified, forgiven homosexual...as long as they don't live that lifestyle. The Apostle Paul spoke of men being celebate. So why couldn't this apply in this case?

Paul also talks about the "thorn in his flesh" as a reminder to him of his need for God's strength. We don't know what this "thorn" was. It could have been a physical handicap, a relational deficiency, or (Oh, I'm gonna really get some heat for this one) perhaps HE had a homosexual orientation. (Yes, I know that he was married at one time, but so was my father-in-law...and he's gay.)

Before you fire back, here...I'm not saying Paul WAS. I'm just saying that it's not IMPOSSIBLE. That COULD have been the "thorn" in his "flesh." But because he lived a celebate life, he did not indulge in that sin, he was blessed by being a powerful force in the early Christian church.

Like it's already been said...love them, witness to them, bring the to Christ and let Him do the rest.

Everyone is tempted in different ways. Think of a castle wall. The devil will keep picking away at it - trying different spots - until he finds a weak spot. These weak spots are sins that are easier for you to fall into. When he finds these weak spots, he will keep attacking there. So, you gotta make sure that wall is fortified.
