In the world we live in today it seems that deception is becoming more common and it’s happening to large groups of people, The group of Mormons out of Texas and Oprah are a couple that come to mind. Since the first deception in the Garden, the devil has become more cunning in his deception, even penetrating the church. So how can we recognize that deception?

Have you guys wondered what has made The Secret so successful? The writer's message is actually a Biblical principle just perverted in a humanistic way. You see, the premise of the book is that you can speak to your circumstance and declare good out of it. "As you speak to the universe good things and do not listen to the bad things, you will reap the good things. You can change your circumstance simply by choosing to disagree with the bad and agreeing with the good."
Where do you think the writer got that idea? It's from the Bible! The power of life and death are in the tongue! Seek first the Kingdom of heaven and everything else will be added to you. Faith the size of a mustard seed can move a mountain!

I agree 100% Jennie. It's so sad how many people have jumped on this wagon. It is all just biblical principles. However, I also struggle with pastors that preach the same message IN Jesus!!! It's like the Word can be something to manipulate to get what we want like prosperity preaching!
