About Me

Hey all, my name's Evan Crealock, but most of my friends call me Circus (that would be my basketball coach's doing- long story, good times). I'm an 18 year old graduate from Christ Church Academy. I hail from Seattle, greatest city on earth, haha. I love home. I've got three awesome brothers (2 younger, 1 older) both parents and some of the greatest friends ever- seriously would not be the guy I am without em- yah they rock. I am completely and entirely sold out for my savior and hero Jesus Christ. I am a son of the king, an heir to the throne of Heaven, a captive of His grace and a disciple of the Way. He means everything to me as a friend, brother and a Father. I believe worship is the ultimate outlet of adoration and music that draws the sound of heaven is one of the greatest avenues to discovering the fullness of God's love. Haha, anyways, about me- interests, just stuff people like to know. I love chillin with my friends, playin basketball, baseball, tennis, volleyball down at the beach...gotta luv it. rockin on drums and guitar (Takamine EF341- she's my girl), hangin at the beach (Houghton's where its at), backflips off the dock, jumping in puddles, workin out, 3 on 2, 2 on 1 (just for coach), bumpin in a white convertible celica (Rawkfist on full blast; i know its oldschool but Jake's my boy), 3 pointers from way beyond the arc (Hibachi!!!). Worship is my outlet and God's in a good mood!!!

A Discovery

Alright, so check this out. I was going through a bunch of papers and files from the last few years, tryin to get organized before I move out next week and I stumbled across a couple of things. This is a poem I wrote as an assignment in my freshmen year of high school ....crazy!

If You’d Only Stop and Listen

The kiss of frost was there again.
You could feel it in the air.
Season’s pages had turned
And all the trees stood bare.

This morning was colder than the rest
A haunted shadow of winter’s early dawn
His hood nearly covered his eyes,
As he stepped again across the lawn.

A year to date had been the day
When he was left alone.
His mom came crying, saying
Dad was never coming home.

He paced down the street, and stood upon the bridge
Every step a memory of all that he had lost.
Simple prayers seemed to escape
As they echoed in the frost.

These early walks had been the same
An escape from the constant noise
But on this day, all alone
He swore he heard a voice.

Purple dawn was slowly retreating
The cloud scarfed sun could not be tamed.
There was no one in sight
But someone called his name.

No bird was singing, no chimes were dancing
And not a car was on the street.
He removed his hood, began to cry
As he heard that voice repeat.

“My son, My son” was what it said
“I’ve heard your silent prayers.”
His knees hit the sidewalk
As his shirt was stained with tears.

So simple a phrase
To some they seem just words
But It was all that kept him from jumping
‘cause he knew that God had heard

It seems that those who are so broken
Offer prayers to a God far away.
They ask for help, but never wait
To hear what He has to say.

Stop and listen for just a moment.
Hear the call beside the noise
When you least expect it
You’ll swear you heard a voice.

Always watching, always waiting
Even when hope has ceased to glisten
His voice is always there
If you’d only stop and listen.
